PFOA is fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff members who keep the organization running day to day, caring for animals and supporting shelter operations.
Danette Grady
Executive Director
Danette is PFOA’s first Executive Director, joining June 1, 2014. She focuses on fundraising, volunteers, and increasing recognition in the community. She brings 18 years’ experience with Living Free Animal Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter in Mountain Center, California.
Nancy Campbell
Shelter Director
Nancy is responsible for the overall operation of the shelter and the health and well-being of the animals. She intakes animals, provides adoption counseling, oversees adoptions, and job-shares as Shelter Manager.
Patti Knodel
Office Manager
Patti is responsible for all bookkeeping and office records and also performs Shelter Manager duties as required.
Michelle Slavin
Administrative Assistant
Michelle provides clerical and administrative support, technical support, media assistance, desktop publishing and technical writing, and assists with donor management and the volunteer program.
Kimmie Pruitt
Shelter Manager
Kimmie is responsible for general cleaning, opening and closing the shelter, and feeding and medicating the animals. She is a full-time employee whose favorites are all the shelter kitties.

Reign finds deep fulfillment as a Cat Caretaker, ensuring each cat receives care, comfort and dignity. As a lifelong animal lover, Reign takes pride in making a tangible difference in the lives of the cats who rely on them.
Tracy DuPuis
Special Needs Animal Caretaker
Tracy cares for the special needs kitties at Barker House. She is the sole caregiver for cats with various medical conditions, including diabetes.
