Peninsula Friends of Animals is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Each director contributes extensive volunteer time to support the organization’s mission.
Kevin Rose
President
Kevin has spent nine years working in cat rescue for PFOA. He also serves as Facility Manager, Thursday Shelter Manager, Facebook Administrator and serves on various committees. Before his involvement in cat rescue he worked with Olympic National Park’s trail crew, the logging trade, and homebuilding and remodeling. He lives outside Port Angeles with his wife Kathryn, two cats and a dog.
Nancy Campbell
Vice President
Nancy began rescuing cats at age three and has focused on animal welfare for more than 50 years. She has volunteered for and served on the board of a spay/neuter nonprofit, and has been involved with Peninsula Friends of Animals since its first meeting in 2000. She is Shelter Director and job-shares as Shelter Manager, intaking animals, counseling adoptions, and overseeing the shelter’s daily operation.
Marilyn Ash
Treasurer
Marilyn spent 43 years in Information Technology for public and investor-owned utility companies, retiring in 2011 before moving to Sequim in 2012. She has volunteered at PFOA since June 2012, beginning with socializing cats and moving into media, photography and graphic design. She serves as Media Manager and Treasurer, maintaining the website, designing materials, and editing the Pet Tidings newsletter.
Sharon Palmer
Director
Sharon is a Washingtonian who has lived in Sequim for 19 years and has been with PFOA for 18 years, fostering over 100 litters. She has coordinated the spay/neuter program for low-income families with local veterinarians. She has adopted five dogs and five cats over the years and volunteers for other local organizations.
