Where is PFOA located?

Safe Haven is located at 257509 Highway 101, Port Angeles, WA 98362. See the Contact page for mailing and visitor details.

What are the current public hours?

Current public hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. PFOA is closed Sunday and Monday. Visits are by appointment; review the Contact page before visiting.

Do I need an appointment to visit?

Yes. Visits are by appointment. For adoption or visitor appointments, call (360) 452-0414 and use extension 2. The main phone line is an answering machine.

How do I ask about adopting a cat?

Start with the Adoptable Cats profiles, then call (360) 452-0414, extension 2, to ask about a cat or arrange next steps. A phone inquiry is not a completed application. The Adoption Process & Requirements page shows the current contact options.

Can I drop off an animal at Safe Haven?

No. Animals may not be dropped off at Safe Haven. See the visitor notice on the Contact page.

How do I ask about fostering?

Foster needs and availability can vary. Contact PFOA and identify fostering as your area of interest. The Foster page explains the contact options and examples of foster activities.

How do I volunteer?

Contact PFOA and identify volunteering as your area of interest. Current roles, schedules, availability, and requirements are confirmed directly by PFOA. See the Volunteer page for contact options.

How does Special Needs sponsorship currently work?

Sponsorship is associated with a specific Special Needs animal. Choose an animal on the Special Needs & Sponsorship page, then call PFOA with the animal’s name and ASM ID. Online Givebutter sponsorship is coming soon.
